About the Deparment
The Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Hannover Medical School (MHH) is divided into organisational units based on the relationship between the three organs within this discipline. This allows ongoing improvement for our patients – in both medical and technological terms. Our clinical experience is continuously creating new momentum both in clinical science and in basic research, which is of great importance here.
This close-knit network serving our patients consists of the following wards and institutions:
- Outpatients’ clinic and private clinical session,
- German Hearing Center Hannover,
- Daily specialist clinical sessions,
- Wards 36, 46 and 48 with around 100 beds,
- Surgical area,
- Research areas:
- LEO - Laboratories of Experimental Otology and
- VIANNA - the Institute of Audioneurotechnology.
Within these various areas, ENT specialists, nurses, medical engineers, audiometrists, scientists, engineers, education professionals, company staff and speech therapists work together on an interdisciplinary basis.
