The overwhelming number of journals often creates uncertainty when it comes to choosing the right journal for one's publication. The following information provides guidance:

 

B!SON:
The B!SON open access journal recommender was funded by the BMBF and serves as a recommendation service for quality-assured open access journals.

 

DOAJ:
(Directory of Open Access Journals) indexes quality-assured open access journals as well as individual articles that are freely available.

 

OASPA:
(Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association) is an association of publishers committed to scientific standards through a strict review process.

 

COPE:
(Committee of Publication Ethics) provides standards for the publication process and especially for the peer review. Some journals specify ethical rules for authors.
