Services for scientists
The library handles the billing of publication costs and provides advice on all aspects of publishing and Open Access. Information can be found here.
The MHH publication server is available for the open access publication of scientific publications, research data, conference contributions and official MHH publications.
The publication server gives all MHH publishers the opportunity to publish scientific publications (first and second publications), research data and conference contributions open access free of charge.
Further information about publishing on RepoMed can be found here.
Research data management is now part of the reporting system of Hannover Medical School. Further information on publishing research data can be found under Reporting.
By initiating concentrated reporting, the aim is to present all performance/key figures transparently and thus create a basis for decision-making for the development of Hannover Medical School (MHH). The primary objective is therefore quality through transparency.
With such a systematic reporting system, in which MHH collects, documents and archives data generated at the university hospital, various interest groups are to be given the opportunity to obtain a comprehensive overview.
In doing so, MHH is not only following the implementation of the 2013 guidelines on research transparency (Only in German: Leitlinien zur Transparenz Forschung aus dem Jahre 2013), but also expanding them considerably.
The following areas are part of the MHH reporting system:
- Research report (Only in German: Forschungsbericht)
- Research data management
- Research information system (Only in German: Forschungsinformationssystem)
- Key figures
- Rankings
In ORCID (Open Research and Contributor ID), scientists can create an internationally recognised persistent identifier. This uniquely links publications, research data and other products of the research process to the author. This improves the visibility of scientific work and at the same time provides a reliable technical link to the authors.
The data collected is used by the Presidential Board to calculate the performance-oriented allocation of funds (LOM) and to compile a university bibliography for MHH.
New publications are reported using automatic data transfers from various databases using the MHH link system or manually using the new publication report form.
All information about the university bibliography can be found here.
