Clinical Trials Office
of the Department of Nephrology and Hypertension
In our Clinical Trials Office, we coordinate and conduct clinical trials to test new medications or applications of approved medications for new indications. We offer patients participation in national and international studies in the field of nephrology. By participating in clinical trials, patients are thus offered new therapeutic options, even if they are not currently available in routine clinical practice.
Our clinical trials cover a wide spectrum of diseases
-
Autoimmune diseases involving the kidneys (e. g. vasculitis, lupus)
-
Glomerulonephritis (e. g. IgA nephropathy, C3 glomerulopathy, FSGS)
-
Genetic kidney diseases (e. g. autosomal-dominant polycystic kidney disease)
-
Thrombotic microangiopathies (TTP or aHUS)
-
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) and acute kidney injury (AKI)
-
Complications after kidney transplantation (e. g. rejection)
-
Complications in end-stage renal disease (e. g. hyperkalemia, cardiovascular diseases)
-
Complications after COVID-19
