On 3rd of June 2024, four LEBAO PhD students of the "Regenerative Sciences" program defended successfully their theses with the following titles:

Tamari Askurava from the RG Gruh "Influence of titin variants on myocardial function in a 3D disease model of peripartum cardiomyopathy using human induced pluripotent stem cells".

Miriana Dardano from the RG Zweigerdt "Blood-generating heart-forming organoids (BG-HFOs) recapitulate the co-evolution of the human haematopoietic system and the embryonic heart".

Laura von Schledorn from the RG Olmer "Development of an in vitro disease model for primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) using patient-derived human induced pluripotent stem cells".

Rajesh Vivekanandan from the RG Gruh "Contribution of iPSC-derived cardiovascular cell types to vascularisation and functionality of bioartificial heart tissue".
