‘What you've done is simply fantastic,’ said Jörg Stühmeier enthusiastically as he accepted a special gift on 12 August. Next to the office of the Head of Division I were four large-format pictures - imaginative, colourful and cheerful, painted by nursery, kindergarten and after-school children from the Campuskinder daycare centre. Sometimes they applied the colour with marbles, sometimes with balloons. One picture looks like a patchwork, another is covered with small plastic balls. Many young artists were at work. On their behalf, two children, accompanied by the deputy head of the daycare centre, Britta Barysch, came to the M19 building for the handover and showed Jörg Stühmeier exactly what part they had contributed to the overall work. The division manager could hardly decide which of the artworks should be hung in ‘his’ office corridor and which should be placed on the other floors. ‘They are all beautiful,’ praised Stühmeier. The idea for the new wall decorations came from his colleague Deborah Meybohm. ‘Colleagues whose children are looked after in the daycare centre also work in our division. That's why the pictures certainly fit in very well here,’ she explained.
