Two exhibitions in MHH art gallery will start in the new year.
The Verein Fotografie & Kommunikation e.V. is starting the new year with two new exhibitions in the Kunstgang of Hannover Medical School (MHH).
The first exhibition, ‘Streetlife’ by Hannover-based photographer Bernd Reinert, will be on display from 8 January to 28 February 2025. As the name suggests, this exhibition shows street photography. A key feature of this very popular genre of photography is that the pictures are taken in public spaces without staging. The protagonists are representative of anyone who might be in that place at that time. The exhibition presents different perspectives of the photographer. The photos were taken in many countries.
The vernissage will take place
- on Friday, 10 January 2025, at 7 p.m., in the MHH's art corridor, and offers the opportunity to talk to the photographer.
Two weeks later, on Friday, 24 January 2025, the exhibition ‘Kleine Welt ganz groß’ (Small World, Big Deal) by photographer Jan Hoelzel will open in the MHH's art corridor; it will be on display until 28 March 2025. The photographer is himself a member of the Verein Fotografie & Kommunikation e.V. and takes the viewer into the fascinating world of insects. They surround us every day and yet we usually do not notice them in our daily lives: flies with blue eyes and mosquitoes with green eyes, hairy butterflies and heavily armoured woodlice.

The exhibitions are open to the public free of charge. They can be visited daily during the periods mentioned above, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., at MHH art gallery, Carl-Neuberg-Straße 1, 30625 Hannover.
