On 29 January 2025, Professor Michael Manns was awarded the Badge of Honour of the Medical Association of Lower Saxony, the highest distinction awarded by the medical profession in Lower Saxony, for his extraordinary commitment and exemplary role as a physician, mentor and visionary.
