Research funding for life scientists
FWT2 supports life scientists at the MHH in the acquisition of non-commercial third-party funded projects. We advise you on funding formats and help you to find the right funding for your individual project idea. You will receive support with the application process and with questions about budget calculation, the application format and submission modalities.

National funding formats
We provide you with advice on non-economic research funding at national level, both for applications to the DFG or the BMBF, for example, as well as to foundations or associations. We support you in all phases of the application process - from the initial idea to the search for a suitable funding institution / funding programme through to the complete application.
EU research funding / EU Unit of the MHH
We provide advice on research funding opportunities at EU level, specifically on Horizon Europe, the EU’s current framework programme for research and innovation, but also on other programmes, such as the 4. Health Programme of the EU or structural funds. We support you in filing the application and provide advice on administrative and financial aspects of project management.
Applications to US funding institutions
We can advise you on applying for third-party funding from US funding organisations such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF). Please contact us at an early stage, as the application process often involves a great deal of administrative work and is subject to strict regulations.
