Alexander von Humboldt (AvH)– Foundation
The Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) Foundation offers sponsorship programmes for postdoctoral researchers.
It supports academic collaborations between excellent foreign and German researchers with research fellowships and awards.
The German José Carreras Leukaemia Foundation supports projects in the field of leukaemia and related malignant blood and bone marrow diseases. The foundation focusses on promoting research, improving treatment and research
treatment and research facilities and supporting psychosocial programmes.
The EKFS supports physicians who want to synergistically combine research and clinical practice in their careers (so-called clinician scientists), young scientists working in medicine and researchers whose key projects are expected to lead to breakthroughs in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, whose key projects are expected to lead to breakthroughs

The Fritz Thyssen Foundation supports scientists from the humanities, social sciences and biomedicine by awarding research grants. Funding is also provided for smaller scientific conferences and, to a limited extent, for the publication of

The Hector Foundations, consisting of the H.W & J. Hector Foundation and the Hector Foundation II, support medical research projects throughout Germany, as well as education and training programmes in schools and universities.
Rut- and Klaus-Bahlsen-FoundationThe Ruth and Klaus Bahlsen Foundation provides support in areas such as medicine and healthcare, with a focus on naturopathy, but also in the areas of healthy nutrition, organic farming and nature conservation.
German Cancer Aid FoundationProgress in cancer research is achieved through many small steps. The German Cancer Aid Foundation therefore promotes innovative projects and measures with a model character that directly benefit patients.
Volkswagen FoundationThe non-profit Volkswagen Foundation supports research projects in all disciplines. It provides targeted impetus to science within the framework of changing funding initiatives.
Wilhelm Sander FoundationThis foundation mainly supports research projects with a focus on cancer research (clinical and clinical-experimental).
