- Hannover Medical School (MHH) is a leading university institution and stands for excellent teaching, research and patient care.
- The well-being and health of our patients are at the centre of our daily work: we cure diseases, alleviate complaints and prevent their development. In our mission statement, we express this self-image as employees of the MHH.
- The mission statement stands for our attitude and the values that guide us in our work. In our joint work we will fill this mission statement with life and represent its goals internally and externally. In addition, the mission statement is intended to serve as orientation for the students and all other persons who are associated with the MHH and contribute to its success.
What the guiding principles mean for us
With our research, we create the latest scientific findings that form the basis for our daily work. On this basis, we develop innovative concepts for prevention, diagnostics and therapy. Our ideas are forward-looking. We act responsibly and economically. We use the resources that society makes available to us responsibly and sustainably.
In patient care, clinical studies and in research and teaching, we work together with the best in their field. To do this, we network locally, regionally and worldwide. We draw new ideas from this cooperation. Together with our partners and their expertise, we use these ideas to develop innovative services for all areas of society.
Our highly trained staff in the areas of clinical care, nursing, health sciences, research, teaching, technology and administration are experts in their fields. Together and well networked, they work every day to ensure that our patients receive the best possible treatment and care. This is how we have been working for more than 50 years - in different departments on a joint university campus. We call this unique interaction "integration model plus".
Our medical teaching has an excellent reputation. Every day we work to maintain and further develop this high standard. To this end, we offer students, trainees and specialists practical and interdisciplinary training and further education opportunities. Lifelong learning and interprofessional cooperation in all professional groups are a matter of course for us.
