Welcome to the Ina-Pichlmayr Mentoring website!
The program, which has been running since 2004, supports particularly committed and successful female postdocs from all subjects at the MHH who are aiming for a professorship or a comparable career in science.
Individual events are certified with continuing education credits from the Lower Saxony Medical Association!

Eponym - Prof. Dr. med. Ina Pichlmayr
- 1932: born in Wahlstatt/Silesia
- 1950-1956: Medical studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich
- 1956: Doctorate in Medicine at the LMU
- 1957-1958: Medical assistant
- 1959-1963: Further training as a specialist in the anesthesia department of the University Surgical Hospital in Munich
- 1961: First female senior physician at the University Surgical Hospital
- 1968: Habilitation in Munich and transfer to the Hannover Medical School
- 1972: Professor of Anaesthesiology at the MHH
- 1974-1997: Head of the Department of Anaesthesia IV of the Institute of Anaesthesiology at the MHH
- 1997-2001: Head of the foundation and the Ederhof in Austria
- Involvement in the Rudolf Pichlmayr Foundation, rehabilitation after organ transplantation in children and young people
- Mother of five children
