Today, took part one of the largest educational outreach events of stem cell science and research at the LEBAO, UniStemday 2024.

This year’s moto was 'Europe United by Science: The long and fascinating journey of stem cell research'.

Organized by LEBAO’s Ruth Olmer and Sylvia Merkert together with Nico Lachmann.

The program started in the morning with interesting talks, among others by LEBAO’s Robert Zweigerdt. Followed by a guided tour of the Laboratories and hands on practice for the students. Here they could try themselves as real scientists by doing their own experiments. The day ended successfully with a “Meet the Experts” session during which the students could ask medical students, junior researcher and researcher in the field their questions.

The participating students were fascinated by the program and possibilities of stem cell science.
