Presidium hopes for key points paper this week.
Negotiations between the Verdi trade union, the state of Lower Saxony and MHH on measures to reduce the workload of employees at Hannover Medical School (MHH) are being conducted very intensively. The Executive Board of the MHH views the talks as positive overall and, in view of the far-reaching agreements, is convinced that a key points paper can be agreed by the end of this week that the employees will agree to.
As a result of the negotiation agreements, MHH will hire many specialists, insofar as they are available. In those areas for which there are not enough applicants available on the labor market, MHH will adjust the scope of patient care as far as its care mandate allows. Exceptions to this are, for example, the care of emergencies.
The overall increase in personnel is not fully refinanced by the health insurance companies, which will lead to an additional annual burden in the double-digit million range for the MHH. “At the same time, we want to see this requirement as an opportunity to align MHH with the long-term scarcity of human resources and to increase MHH's attractiveness as an employer,” says MHH Vice President Martina Saurin.
