Dr. Daniela Paasch and Shifaa Abdin received the "Paper of the Quarter Award" from the DG-GT (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Gentherapie) for their publication „Scalable generation of functional human iPSC-derived CAR-macrophages that efficiently eradicate CD19-positive leukemia“.

Excellence in Research Award
The American Society for Gene and Cell Therapy (ASGCT) awards the work of Kathrin Haake with an “Excellence in Research” award for her work on macrophages and mycobacterial infections. Her work is going to be awarded during the George Stamatoyannopoulos Memorial Lecture at the ASGCT Annual Meeting 2020 and comes along with $500 and a plaque.
